A unique opportunity
Volunteering at IKRC Menorca is a unique opportunity to join our community and get closer to Kadampa Buddhist meditation. You can join as a volunteer whenever you would like – just coordinate with our team at the center and we’ll organize a stay.
On your days off, you’ll be able to explore the beautiful island of Menorca or simply relax, meditate and enjoy the peace and quiet that the center offers. The center is quite isolated and there is no public transport, however there are many rental car, bike and motorcycle companies on the island offered at a great rate (especially out of high season).
IKRC Menorca is situated in the middle of a forest in the center of the island. There’s an abundance of natural beauty to explore in the nearby area and a lot of great hikes with incredible viewpoints. Menorca has world-renowned beaches that are just 15-20 minutes by car from the center.

About the IKRC Menorca Spiritual Program
We are a Buddhist retreat center. As a volunteer, we encourage you to participate in the center’s activities. In the afternoon, you can take part in the introductory classes or in the daily prayers organized by the temple. We also have weekend courses and retreats on a regular basis. Weekly classes and most weekend courses/retreats are free to volunteers outside of work hours.

How to apply for the volunteer program
Work stays must be arranged and coordinated in advance of your arrival. The type of volunteer activity will be agreed before hand based on your work history and skillset. To apply, please complete the following form:
