About this retreat

If we want to be successful in our Dharma practice of both sutra and tantra, we must receive the profound blessings of all the Buddhas through our Spiritual Guide. The Yoga of Guru Sumati Buddha Heruka fulfills this very important function for our spiritual development.

Gen Rabjor will lead this special retreat following the oral instructions of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, which Genla Dekyong shared at the NKT 2022 International Spring Festival in Malaga.

Take advantage of this precious opportunity that the IKRC Menorca offers you to get closer to Guru Sumati Buda Heruka, through the recitation of his mantra. The retreat will end with the Vajradaka fire offering.

  • Being in a retreat center that has been visited and blessed by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.

  • Absolute silence. During this retreat, the center will be closed to other people, courses, events and visits to guarantee absolute silence and tranquility.
  • Being in a very special place, surrounded by a beautiful forest of holm oaks, wild olive trees and pines with many paths through which you can walk during breaks.

  • Nourish your body with vegetarian food made with a lot of love and care.

THE TEACHER

Gen Kelsang Rabjor began practicing Kadampa Buddhism in 1994, at the first Kadampa Buddhist center founded by the Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche in England. Since then, he has tirelessly dedicated himself to learning and deepening this inner path and sharing his knowledge and experience with many people from all over the world.

He has been a resident teacher in several Kadampa Buddhist centers, among which the Kadampa Meditation Center in Barcelona stands out, where he lived for 16 years. He has also been resident teacher of the Kadampa Meditation Center Spain, in Malaga, and of the KMC Mahamudra in Seville. In September 2023 he has been designated as resident teacher of the IKRC Menorca.

He has been a Buddhist monk since 2007 and has extensive experience in teaching modern Buddhism, in extended retreats and granting empowerments. He has led meditations and given teachings at national and international Kadampa festivals. His profound spiritual insight and warm, practical presentation of the Buddhist teachings make Gen Kelsang Rabjor an enormously inspiring teacher.

The retreat starts on 2nd January at 8pm and ends on 22nd January at noon

  • Single and double rooms are reserved for people attending the entire event.
  • Double and Shared rooms have bunk beds.
  • The reservation of double rooms is per room. If you don’t have anyone to share with, you can reserve a single or quadruple room.
  • Prior registration required by paying 25% of the price of the retreat. This deposit is not refunded or transferred in case of cancellations..
  • If you stay in a quadruple room, please bring towels.
  • Meals are vegetarian. We can offer vegan and gluten-free food if you let us know in advance.
